Q: I always like my friend’s posts but she never reciprocates. Can I say something?

A: Definitely. That totally pisses me off when people do that to me. Here’s the charitable interpretation. Your friend is really only focusing on her own pictures and doesn’t pay attention to other posts. Or she doesn’t even look to see who liked her posts so doesn’t realize she’s snubbing you. I would casually ask — “did you see that picture I put up of X?” If she says yes, say – “Oh, you didn’t comment so I wasn’t sure you saw it.” She’ll get the message. If she says no, she’s CYAing or she’s a flaming narcissist who just checks her own profile. You can then say, “Check it out and leave me a comment. I love seeing what people say about my pictures and posts.”
